The Extech RD350 is a professional leak detector designed for the fast and precise detection of refrigerant leaks in air conditioning, refrigeration, and HVAC systems. The heated diode sensor detects all common refrigerant gases, including R32, R22, R134a, R404A, R407C, and R410A, as well as refrigerants from the CFC, HCFC, and HFC groups.

With three selectable sensitivity levels, the device can be optimally adapted to the specific measurement task. At the highest sensitivity level, leak rates of up to 3 g per year can be detected, depending on the refrigerant used. An ambient concentration reset function facilitates reliable leak detection even when refrigerant is already present in the environment.

The three-color LED indicator clearly displays the intensity of the detected leak. In addition, an audible alarm with variable intensity assists in pinpointing the exact location. Thanks to the flexible, 400 mm long probe, even hard-to-reach pipes, connections, valves, evaporators, and compressors can be easily inspected.

The RD350 is particularly well-suited for service technicians, system installers, and maintenance personnel in the air conditioning and refrigeration industries. Typical applications include leak testing of air conditioning systems, heat pumps, refrigeration systems, and refrigeration circuits, as well as leak detection during installation, maintenance, repair, and commissioning. A reference leak source and a rugged carrying case are included with the unit.
