The Extech MO260 is a versatile moisture meter designed for quickly assessing the moisture content in wood and various building materials. It combines two measurement methods in a compact handheld device: direct measurement using interchangeable electrode probes and non-contact, virtually non-destructive measurement using electromagnetic sensor technology.
The measured values are shown on a backlit LCD display and additionally visualized by a three-color LED bar graph. This allows for quick identification of dry, damp, and critical areas within the material. An integrated calibration test ensures reliable functional monitoring of the device.
The MO260 is suitable, among other things, for inspecting wood, particleboard, carpeting, ceiling and bathroom tiles, drywall, and other building materials. The non-contact measurement detects relative moisture to a depth of approximately 22 mm below the surface, causing virtually no surface damage. For targeted measurements, such as on drywall or other building materials, direct pin measurement can be used.
