The GE&EL 30 is the more powerful model in the Cinergia GE&EL AC/DC SiC-RSe rack series. It combines AC mains simulator, AC electronic load and bi-directional DC source/sink in a compact 7U system and offers 30 kVA/kW for demanding R&E and test environments. The device uses state-of-the-art SiC technology with high dynamics, excellent power quality and true energy recovery.

General features of the series

  • 3-in-1 platform: AC grid simulator, AC load and regenerative DC source/sink in one system.
  • Mixed-mode operation: Simultaneous and independent use of all AC and DC functions.
  • SiC power electronics for high efficiency, low distortion and fast transients.
  • Regenerative: Energy is fully fed back into the grid, reducing operating costs and cooling.
  • User-friendly operation: 7" touch display, intuitive PC software, integrated measurement and logging functions.
  • Flexible integration: LAN communication (Modbus/TCP), analog and digital I/Os, master-slave function.
  • 19" rack form with only 7 U and identical mechanics for all models in the series.

    Model focus: GE&EL 30

    The GE&EL 30 model presented here has 30 kVA / kW and therefore has additional power reserves compared to the 22.5 kW model. It offers the same range of functions, channel configurations and connection options, but with more available power for demanding load profiles, larger test specimens or more dynamic test scenarios.

    This variant comes without a transformer. Alternatively, this model is also available with IT30 transformer (Art.No.: GE_EL30AC/DCSRE-IT3).

    Comparison within the series

    • GE&EL 22.5: 22.5 kW/kVA, compact and highly efficient for applications in the medium power range.
    • GE&EL 30: 30 kW/kVA, identical size and currents, but with higher continuous power for greater power reserves.

    Technical product features of the series:

    • Input: 3×400 V + N + PE (optional 3×480 V), 47-63 Hz, THDi < 2%, PF > 0.98, efficiency > 93.5%.
    • AC output: 3 phases + N, fundamental frequency 10-400 Hz, THDv < 0.2%, harmonic up to 5 kHz, operation in CV/CC/CP/CZ.
    • DC output: 0-800 V unipolar (3 channels) or ±380 V bipolar (1 channel), modes CV/CC/CP/CR, optional battery and PV emulation.
    • Power & currents: Series models with 22.5 kW or 30 kW; up to ±44 A per channel.
    • Mixed mode: Simultaneous AC/DC use, separate setpoints per channel/phase.
    • PHiL-capable: Low delays in the range of less than 100 µs.
    • Interfaces: 7" touch display, Modbus/TCP, analog/digital I/Os, master/slave function.
    • Protection functions: Overcurrent, overvoltage, short circuit, overtemperature, watchdog, configurable alarms.
    • Mechanics: 19"/7U, approx. 715 × 440 × 310 mm, approx. 50 kg.
