The Cinergia EL+ vAC ePlus series from Cinergia is an innovative range of regenerative, programmable electronic AC loads that accurately simulates the behavior of grid consumers and generators. Its bi-directional, reverse-supply architecture allows energy to be fed back into the grid during testing - a key benefit for reducing energy consumption and increasing efficiency in laboratory and test environments. With a power range from 7.5 kW to 160 kW, the series covers a wide variety of requirements and can be flexibly expanded by connecting several units in parallel. The open communication via Modbus/TCP and Ethernet enables easy integration into automated test systems.

The EL+ 15 vAC model offers a rated power of 15 kW with a rated current of 22 A per phase (or 66 A three-channel) and is therefore ideal for medium-sized test applications with precise requirements in terms of dynamics and control. It combines high performance with a compact design (770 × 450 × 1100 mm) and a weight of around 200 kg. Compared to smaller models such as the EL+ 7.5 vAC or EL+ 10 vAC, the EL+ 15 vAC offers a higher current carrying capacity and improved control stability - ideal for testing more powerful AC sources or power supplies. Thanks to the 4-quadrant technology, the system can both absorb and dissipate energy and thus realistically simulate generators, mains faults or load conditions. The distortion factor (THDi) is less than 3%, the power factor is over 0.98 and the efficiency is up to 91%. It can be operated locally via a 4.3" touchscreen or remotely via Modbus/Ethernet. In addition, analog and digital I/O interfaces are available to integrate the device into complex test setups. With the „Steps“function, fast test sequences with a resolution of 66 µs can be defined.
