The Camille Bauer SC40-B, item U118L, is a split-core current transformer for measuring alternating current in electrical distribution systems. The opening design supports installation around existing conductors and is particularly useful in retrofit projects in switchgear and distribution cabinets.

This version has a rated primary current of 250 A and provides a rated secondary current of 1 A. The resulting ratio is 250/1. The connected measuring instrument must have an appropriate secondary input, and the installation must follow the selected metering circuit design.
