When installing and connecting 3-wire three-phase motors and three-phase systems, it is important to check whether the rotating field of the motors and the direction of rotation of the three-phase system are correct. An incorrect connection can cause the three-phase motor to start incorrectly and damage the motor or the driven machine.

In addition to the rotating field display of the PRM-5-EUR, the Beha Amprobe PRM-6-EUR has a clear, illuminated LCD display and allows the motor connections (U, V, W) to be determined without voltage. Another function is the non-contact indication of the direction of rotation of the motor when the motors are running without a direct connection by means of magnetic detection of the rotating field.
