The PicoScope 5000E series comprises high-resolution PC-based oscilloscopes designed for precise measurements and fast signal analysis. The instruments combine 16-bit resolution with high sampling rates, large memory, and extensive analysis capabilities. Thanks to their high dynamic range and low inherent noise, these oscilloscopes are particularly well-suited for demanding applications in development, embedded systems, automotive, research, and industry.
The series features extensive trigger functions, FFT spectrum analysis, DeepMeasure analysis, serial protocol decoding, and integrated function and arbitrary waveform generators. The Plus models supplement the high-resolution 16-bit technology with an 8-bit high-speed mode featuring higher bandwidth and larger memory. The MSO variants also expand the devices with 16 digital channels for mixed-signal applications.
Differences from the other variants
The PicoScope 5462E+ MSO combines high-resolution 16-bit measurement technology with an additional 8-bit high-speed mode and integrated digital channels. The device offers four analog inputs and an additional 16 digital MSO channels for simultaneous analysis of analog and digital signals.
In 16-bit mode, the model features a bandwidth of 60 MHz for precise analog measurements. In 8-bit mode, bandwidths up to 200 MHz and sampling rates up to 5 GS/s are available. Compared to the 5462E MSO, the device thus offers significantly higher speeds and double the memory in 8-bit mode. However, compared to the 5463E+ MSO and 5464E+ MSO, the model has a lower maximum bandwidth.
