The XJTAG SPB-0010 is a compact protection board designed to safely power electronic assemblies and test subjects. It protects connected devices from reverse polarity, limits inrush current, and continuously monitors the power supply for overcurrent and overvoltage events. If a set threshold is exceeded, the board shuts off the output and signals the fault condition via an LED.
The current limit can be set to one of four levels between 1 A and 4 A. For overvoltage protection, preset shutdown thresholds of 6 V, 14 V, and 30 V are available. Additionally, a customer-specific shutdown threshold can be defined using a resistor. Voltage enable can be set permanently via a jumper or, optionally, via an external control signal.
The SPB-0010 is particularly suitable for test, development, and production environments where sensitive electronic assemblies must be reliably supplied with power. Typical applications include protecting a DUT during functional tests, automated test systems, boundary-scan and JTAG test stations, as well as applications with upstream relays or externally controlled voltage enable. The board is installed directly in front of the device under test (DUT); relays and switches should be located on the input side.
