Der PCIe-8363 ist ein MXI-Express-Remote-Controller, der eine x1 Gen1 PCI Express-Verbindung mit einer Datenrate von bis zu 208 MB/s über ein Kupferkabel bereitstellt. Er verfügt über einen Port und ermöglicht die Fernsteuerung von PXI-Systemen durch eine transparente Verbindung, die von Softwareanwendungen und Treibern automatisch erkannt wird. Der Controller wird in einem Computer mit PCI-Express-Steckplatz installiert und stellt die Verbindung zu einem PXIe-8360-Modul im PXI-Chassis her. Auf diese Weise können PXI-Module so verwendet werden, als wären sie direkt im Computer installiert. Die Steuerung erfolgt ohne zusätzliche Programmierung, was eine einfache Integration in bestehende Systeme ermöglicht.
