The PXIe‑6672 is a system timing controller that provides functions for driving the PXI star trigger lines, importing and exporting clocks and triggers to and from the PXI backplane, generating a high-resolution direct digital synthesis (DDS) clock, and generating a highly stable 10 MHz TCXO reference clock for measurement setups. The PXIe‑6672 enables synchronization of multiple PXI‑Express systems, synchronization of a PXI‑Express system with external instruments, and increased accuracy of instruments within a PXI‑Express system.
