The GPIB‑RS232 IEEE 488 Controller Module is for computers with an RS-232 port. This module allows a measurement device to be integrated into a system using GPIB. It turns a computer with an RS-232 serial port into a talker, listener or controller on the GPIB bus. It also enables RS-232 measurement and peripheral devices to be connected to the GPIB bus Implement electrical specifications of IEEE-488, RS-485 and RS-422 standards, and interpret and process high-level serial port commands, including RS-232 to GPIB and GPIB to RS-232 protocol conversions.‑ ‑‑The module is compatible with IEEE-488.2. The device includes a license for the NI‑488.2 driver software, which ensures maximum reliability when connecting to third-party instruments with GPIB.
