6487 | Picoammeter / Voltage Source 6400 series

The Keithley 6487 5½ digit picoammeter / voltage source improves the measurement capabilities of the award winning Model 6485 and adds a high resolution 500V source. It offers greater accuracy and faster rise times than the 6485, as well as a damping function for use with capacitive devices. With eight current measuring ranges and high-speed automation, this cost-effective device can measure currents from 20 fA to 20 mA , perform measurements at a speed of up to 1,000 readings per second and generate voltages from 200 μV to 505 V.

With a resolution of 10 fA, outstanding sensitivity, voltage sweeping, and AC resistance measurements, the Model 6487 is ideal for characterizing low-power devices. Using the latest electricity metering technology, it is significantly cheaper than other devices with similar functions. At a price comparable to that of a high-end DMM, the Model 6487 makes picoampere-level measurements affordable for virtually any laboratory or manufacturing facility.
