The Rohde & Schwarz FSH-K10 option enables the analysis of GSM / GPRS / EDGE transmission signals. In this way, GSM, GPRS and EDGE base station signals are demodulated. With the fast and accurate signal analysis, the user can easily test base stations and fix errors. The spectrum overview shows the RF channel power and the occupied bandwidth of the signal. If the received performance is below the specified limit, it indicates poor connection performance. On the other hand, a value that is too high would interfere with other base stations. The performance versus time display shows the GSM / EDGE bursts in the time domain. This checks whether the performance and timing of the frame meet the requirements of the standard.

With the measurement results of the Rohde & Schwarz FSH and the Rohde & Schwarz FSH-K10 option, network operators can precisely adjust BTS transmission power and frequency in order to optimize signal quality and out-of-band emissions. The result is a lower potential for interference, higher data rates and an improved network capacity.
