The compact spectrum analyzer FSC3 from Rohde & Schwarz is the inexpensive basic device for simple development tasks and is suitable for use in production as well as in research and teaching in practical HF training. It is also well suited for use in service or maintenance. It features a wealth of functions to simplify and speed up the development and testing of RF products. Its good RF characteristics and its high measurement accuracy ensure meaningful and reproducible measurement results.
A total of four models are available in the frequency range from 9 kHz to 3 GHz or 6 GHz. A separate model with tracking generator is available for each frequency range. A preamplifier, which is optional for all models, increases the sensitivity for measuring weak signals.

- Power measurement on pulsed signals in the time domain with predefined settings for the mobile radio standards GSM and EDGE
- Channel power measurement in a definable transmission channel with predefined settings for the 3GPP WCDMA, cdmaOne, CDMA2000® and LTE mobile radio standards
- Measurement of the bandwidth occupied by a signal (OBW)
- Adjacent channel power measurement absolute or based on the useful carrier for up to 12 channels and 12 adjacent channels
- Gated sweep to display the modulation spectrum of burst signals such as GSM or WLAN
- Measurement of spurious emissions
