The Rohde & Schwarz NGT3600 series is a powerful DC power supply platform for demanding laboratory and test systems. In a compact, direct 19" rack-mountable housing, it provides either one or two fully galvanically isolated outputs with up to 1800 W per channel. Thanks to modern autoranging architecture, the power is available flexibly over a wide voltage and current range - ideal for applications in which both high currents at low voltages and high voltages at lower currents are required.
Typical areas of application are development and validation tests in electronics, automotive, avionics, drive and power electronics as well as in automated test setups (ATE). Comfort functions such as Ramp (smooth start-up), Output Delay (switch-on sequencing) and Arbitrary (freely programmable voltage/current profiles with ms resolution) help to emulate real operating conditions and protect components and DUTs. Integrated measurement, statistics and logging functions reduce the need for additional measurement technology in the setup and speed up documentation. Operation is via a high-resolution 4.3" touch display; USB and LAN including SCPI support and configurable digital I/O are available for remote control and system integration.
The R&S NGT3622 presented here is the most powerful model in the series and the optimal choice for applications that require maximum flexibility and the highest overall performance. It offers two fully independent, galvanically isolated outputs with up to 1800 W power each. This means that a total of up to 3600 W is available at 200-240 V AC mains voltage. This makes the NGT3622 ideal for complex test systems with multiple supply rails, parallel DUTs or dynamic development environments.
A particular highlight of the NGT3622 is the channel fusion function. The two outputs can be connected either in series or in parallel. Voltages of up to 160 V are possible in series operation, while currents of up to 100 A can be achieved in parallel operation. The NGT3622 therefore covers an extremely wide range of applications - from high-voltage to high-current applications - and in many cases replaces several separate power supply units.
While the NGT3622 is designed for maximum flexibility with two powerful channels and maximum overall power, the R&S NGT3621 focuses on a single, particularly powerful output with up to 1800 W. It is the ideal solution for applications where only one supply channel is required and where simplicity, space and cost are paramount.
The NGT3622 also offers the decisive advantage of series and parallel connection, which is not possible with the NGT3621. This makes the NGT3622 particularly suitable for laboratories and test systems that frequently switch between different voltage and current requirements or are planning future expansions.
