The Rohde & Schwarz NGT3600 series is a powerful DC power supply platform for demanding laboratory and test systems. In a compact, direct 19" rack-mountable housing, it provides either one or two fully galvanically isolated outputs with up to 1800 W per channel. Thanks to modern autoranging architecture, the power is available flexibly over a wide voltage and current range - ideal for applications in which both high currents at low voltages and high voltages at lower currents are required.
Typical areas of application are development and validation tests in electronics, automotive, avionics, drive and power electronics as well as in automated test setups (ATE). Comfort functions such as Ramp (smooth start-up), Output Delay (switch-on sequencing) and Arbitrary (freely programmable voltage/current profiles with ms resolution) help to emulate real operating conditions and protect components and DUTs. Integrated measurement, statistics and logging functions reduce the need for additional measurement technology in the setup and speed up documentation. It is operated via a high-resolution 4.3" touch display; USB and LAN including SCPI support and configurable digital I/O are available for remote control and system integration.
The R&S NGT3621 presented here is the ideal choice if you need maximum power on a single, uncompromisingly powerful output: up to 1800 W at 2-80 V and up to 50 A. This makes it particularly suitable for high-current applications. This makes it particularly suitable for high-current tests, drive components, power modules, DC buses or general development and validation tasks where a stable, precise supply channel is paramount. At the same time, you benefit from the series features such as autoranging, remote sensing, arbitrary/ramp/delay, logging and the comprehensive protection mechanisms.
While the NGT3621 focuses on one powerful output (1800 W), the R&S NGT3622 offers two independent outputs and therefore up to 3600 W total power (at 200-240 V AC). This is particularly interesting if you operate several supply rails in parallel, test two DUTs simultaneously or need more flexibility in dynamic setups.
A decisive added value of the NGT3622 is the channel fusion: the two outputs can be combined in series or in parallel - for up to 160 V in series operation or up to 100 A in parallel operation. The NGT3621, on the other hand, remains the slimmer, more efficient option for single-channel applications, typically with lower space, cost and integration requirements (including lower weight and power consumption).
