The PCI-6624 allows a variety of counter/timer tasks to be performed, including event counting, period and pulse width measurement, position determination using quadrature encoders, pulse and pulse train generation and frequency measurement. Further example applications are the generation of repeatedly triggerable pulses, measurement of the distance between two signal edges, continuously buffered event counting and continuously buffered pulse train measurements. The PCI-6624 offers sophisticated functions for use in a wide range of applications in harsh industrial environments, such as automotive, aerospace, industrial motor control and production testing.
