The KE7000 cable testers are cost-effective test devices for patch, LAN and telecommunications cabling as well as for coaxial cables using an optional adapter.
Unshielded and shielded connection cables with twisted pairs (UTP and STP cables) in installed networks as well as patch cables can be tested and verified. Coaxial cables with BNC and F sockets can be tested for continuity using the RJ45 coax adapter. One device is automatically configured as the master and one as the slave. The advantage of using two master devices is that the status of the tests can be easily read on both devices, which simplifies and speeds up the measurement process. With a battery life of up to 100 hours, measuring operations rarely need to be interrupted.
Faults such as swaps, open circuits, short circuits and shield faults are shown on the graphical displays of the devices.
There is no need to make a cumbersome note of flashing and illuminated LEDs. The KE7000s provide clear, fast and immediately evaluable status information on both sides of the LCD displays for cable lengths of up to approx. 150 m.
If external voltage is present on the cables to be tested, a warning is issued and the polarity of the pins is displayed. The devices are protected against accidental contact with telephony supply voltage or PoE (Power over Ethernet) up to 60 V DC.
- Network tester set for quick and easy testing of telephone, data and coax cables via RJ-11, RJ-45 and optional adapters.
- Automatically detects continuity, open circuit, short circuit, reversal, shield and multiple faults for reliable and fast cable diagnostics.
- More efficient working thanks to simultaneous display of measurement results on master and remote unit.
- High level of safety thanks to external voltage protection up to 60 V DC with visual warning indicator.
