Rohde & Schwarz RTH-K34 | Harmonic Analysis Options (THD) for Rohde & Schwarz RTH100x oscilloscopes.

  • Parallel automatic measurements of up to 64 harmonics over 4 oscilloscope channels
  • Display of the current component of each harmonic and also display of the maximum of each harmonic since the start of the measurement
  • Selection of the respective base frequency: 50 Hz, 60 Hz, 400 Hz and input of application-specific base frequencies up to 1 kHz
  • Automatic measurements of THDF (Total Harmonic Distortion / distortion of all harmonics related to the fundamental frequency (= Fundamental)) and THDR (Total Harmonic Distortion / distortion of all harmonics (RMS values) related to the sum of the RMS values of the fundamental frequency plus all harmonics / (R = Root Mean Square - effective value)).
  • Automatic measurements of amplitude, phase and frequency of each harmonic
  • Test against limit values according to the standard EN50160 or according to application-specific specifications.

RTH-K34 | Harmonic analysis option, for oscilloscopes Scope Rider RTH (1333.0673.03)

Harmonics of the network frequency within a supply voltage network can lead to unforeseen disturbances in electronic systems. These harmonics are caused by non-linear electronic loads. Finding these harmonics is both a challenge and a necessity to guarantee proper system behavior. With the RTH-K34 option, harmonics can be automatically discovered and quantized according to the EN50160 guideline or according to user-specific limits.

Another application is to observe and verify current harmonics in clocked power supply units / modules.
