GIS2K series - AC and DC current sources with high bandwidth
The GIS2K series from Zenone Elettronica comprises powerful, static constant current sources for generating highly stable AC and DC currents. The systems are designed for demanding testing and calibration tasks and cover a very wide current and power range. Thanks to modern power electronics, high accuracy and extensive programming options, the devices are suitable for use in the laboratory as well as for automated test systems and production lines.

General features and possible applications
- Thermal and magnetic tests: Tests on circuit-breakers, fuses, relays and tripping units including precise tripping time measurement.
- Heating tests: Testing of contacts, cables, terminals and contact resistances.
- Inductive components: Tests on transformers, coils, windings and laminated cores.
- Measurement and calibration technology: Testing and calibration of measuring devices and current transformers.
- AC and DC operation: Very stable current output for direct and alternating current over the entire load range.
- Flexible signal shapes: Sinusoidal or freely programmable (arbitrary) output shapes.
- Automation: Easy integration into automated test systems via serial interfaces, digital I/O and analog booster input for use as a power amplifier.
- Scalability: Parallel connection up to 1 MVA or 50 kA as well as synchronization for polyphase systems.
