The XJLink2 from XJTAG is a compact, lightweight, and portable USB-JTAG controller that establishes a fast connection between a computer and the JTAG chains of an electronic assembly. Thanks to its compact design, the device can be taken directly to the board under test (UUT).
The flexible, software-configurable JTAG interface allows the pin assignments to be adapted to different printed circuit boards, cables, and test setups. Up to four JTAG chains can be connected to the controller simultaneously. Pins not required for JTAG signals can be used as digital inputs and outputs, for example, to reset a board, power on a power supply, or control external components.
The XJLink2 is suitable for both development and debugging in the lab as well as for automated production testing and mobile service applications. Thanks to the integrated XJTAG license, the test system is not permanently tied to a specific computer and can be used flexibly at various workstations. Power is supplied via the USB port, so no separate power supply is required for the controller.
Adjustable signal voltages, variable signal termination options, automatic propagation delay compensation, and customizable edge steepness and drive strength support reliable communication with a wide variety of test access ports. For mobile testing, the XJLink2 can also directly supply power-saving target systems with a 3.3 V supply voltage.
