The XJLink-PF20 from XJTAG is a compact, portable, and rugged USB-C-to-JTAG controller designed for fast access to electronic assemblies and test subjects. Through its two ports, the device provides a total of 20 freely configurable I/O lines. This allows up to four separate JTAG chains to be operated simultaneously, with an individual clock frequency that can be set for each chain.

Thanks to its durable aluminum housing, the XJLink-PF20 is suitable for use in development labs as well as in industrial production and test environments. Its compact design also allows for use in mobile testing tasks and in the field. An external power supply is not required, as the controller is powered directly via the USB interface.

The flexibly configurable pin assignment facilitates adaptation to different printed circuit boards, test fixtures, and customer-specific JTAG interfaces. In addition to traditional boundary-scan and JTAG tests, the I/O lines can be used for general digital input and output, fast flash programming, triggering test sequences, and outputting test status information, among other things. Furthermore, the controller supports both JTAG and SWD connections.

Each JTAG chain can operate at its own frequency. As a result, slower components or assemblies do not necessarily become the limiting factor for the entire test system. Automatic runtime and skew control ensure reliable signal transmission even at high clock rates and with longer connection cables.

The XJLink-PF20 also includes the required XJTAG system license. This allows the XJTAG software to be installed on multiple computers and the controller to be used flexibly across different workstations, test systems, or locations.
