The XJA-0032 from XJTAG is a splitter and signal integrity board designed to connect a PXI-XJLink2 to the device or assembly under test. It expands the PXI-XJLink2’s 20-pin MDR connector to two 20-pin connectors with a 0.1-inch pitch, thereby enabling easy connection of suitable ribbon cables.

To improve signal integrity, the board connects the ground contacts on the even-numbered pins on the DUT side. This allows a ground connection to be established between each pair of signal lines in the connected ribbon cable. This arrangement reduces unwanted signal interference and supports stable communication between the test system and the device under test.

The XJA-0032 is suitable for PXI-based JTAG test environments in which the signals from a PXI-XJLink2 are to be routed to the device under test via two separate cable connections.
