The XJTAG XJRunner RUN-0010 is a specialized runtime environment for the secure and controlled execution of precompiled XJTAG test projects. The software was developed specifically for use in electronics manufacturing, by external manufacturing service providers, and in service and repair environments. It enables the reliable testing and programming of assembled printed circuit boards—both for small production runs and in high-volume manufacturing.
Test projects created with XJDeveloper are loaded into XJRunner as compressed and encrypted XJPack files. This prevents the test sequences they contain from being accidentally modified in the production environment. This ensures reproducible test processes and supports consistently high quality.
Thanks to a clear Run/Stop and Pass/Fail user interface, even semi-skilled production staff can easily perform complete PCB tests. Different user and permission levels make it possible to tailor the available functions specifically to the qualifications and tasks of the respective operator. Configurable prompts can also display required steps before or after a test.
Typical applications include connection tests on printed circuit boards, testing of JTAG and non-JTAG components, in-system programming, serial number and MAC address management, and fault diagnosis of defective assemblies. Layout and schematic views help qualified users quickly locate faulty nets, components, and pins. For complete traceability, test results—including timestamps, serial numbers, and user information—can be logged.
XJRunner is also suitable for parallel test processes using multiple XJLink test controllers or an XJQuad. Via the XJIntegration interface, the software can be integrated into higher-level test systems, test executives, and automated manufacturing environments, such as those based on LabVIEW™.
