The XJTAG XJIO Board IOC-0001 is an I/O expansion unit without RS-232/UART that significantly expands the test coverage of circuit boards. It integrates into an XJTAG test system and provides test access to areas of the circuit that are difficult or impossible to reach using JTAG alone.

With digital and analog I/O pins, the board is suitable for connection testing—including external connections—for improved fault isolation, for monitoring supply voltages, and for black-box testing of non-JTAG circuits. This allows it to simplify or, in many cases, replace customer-specific test adapters.
