Opening electrical cabinets for thermographic and visual inspection of components during operation is dangerous as personnel may be exposed to life-threatening arcing. To increase security, an infrared window from FLIR can now be attached as a protective shield between people and the live equipment. This means that employees are better protected and control cabinets no longer need to be opened.
All FLIR infrared windows have a secure, permanently installed cover that can be opened easily with one hand, ie nothing has to be removed, nothing can fall, be mixed up or get lost. Thanks to the FLIR broadband crystal, cameras take daylight pictures as well as thermal pictures; In addition, the light from laser pointers and LED lights passes unhindered, so that better visual assessments are possible.
