The Sefram DAS1800-R is the 19-inch rackmount version of the DAS1800 modular high-speed data acquisition system. It combines flexible, scalable measurement technology with ten slots for various measurement modules, making it suitable for both highly dynamic measurements and extensive long-term recordings. Depending on the module configuration, up to 80 analog inputs and 16 digital input channels are available. Measurements can be performed for, among other things, voltage, current via shunt or current clamp, temperature, resistance, frequency, PWM, and True RMS.
A special feature of the DAS1800-R is the 1-TB SSD, which is accessible and removable from the front panel. This allows sensitive measurement data to be easily removed physically from the device—for example, to comply with data cleansing and data security requirements in aerospace or defense applications. At the same time, storage media can be swapped out to retrieve large measurement datasets for analysis while the system continues to operate with a different drive.
For demanding measurement tasks, the DAS1800-R can be equipped with universal, high-impedance, high-voltage, and multiplexer modules. With the high-speed modules, sampling rates of up to 1 MSa/s per channel are possible; the high-voltage module enables measurements up to ±1500 VDC or 1000 Vrms. Multiplexer modules each provide eight channels and enable, among other things, temperature measurements with thermocouples and RTDs. Thanks to the freely combinable modules, the system can be adapted to various test and monitoring tasks.
Typical applications include research and development, test benches, industrial plant monitoring, energy and power analysis, and the investigation of electrical and electromechanical systems. The device supports power analysis of DC, single-phase, and three-phase networks operating at 50 Hz, 60 Hz, or 400 Hz. Voltage, current, power, energy, power quality, and harmonics can be recorded and visualized using, among other methods, phasor diagrams and harmonic histograms.
For evaluation and monitoring, the DAS1800-R features a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen display. Measurement values can be displayed as real-time waveforms, numerical values, phasor diagrams, or histograms. Remote access and control are possible via the integrated web server and VNC. FTP and NAS support also facilitate the transfer and backup of large measurement datasets over the network.
