Harmonics of the network frequency within a supply voltage network can lead to unforeseen disturbances in electronic systems. These harmonics are caused by non-linear electronic loads. Finding these harmonics is both a challenge and a necessity to guarantee proper system behavior. With the RTH-K34 option, harmonics can be automatically discovered and quantized according to the EN50160 guideline or according to user-specific limits.
Another application is to observe and verify current harmonics in clocked power supply units / modules.
