The Rohde & Schwarz ZVH can be retrofitted for additional requirements such as vector voltmeters. The retrofitting is carried out by software activation or additional equipment, the device does not have to be sent in.
The Rohde & Schwarz ZVH-K45 vector voltmeter option shows the magnitude and phase of a measurement object at a fixed frequency. The Rohde & Schwarz ZVH can thus replace a vector voltmeter for many applications. The Rohde & Schwarz ZVH contains the necessary signal source and measuring bridge. In addition to saving costs, the measurement setup is considerably simplified and is therefore ideally suited for field use. For relative measurements, the measurement values of a reference measurement object are saved at the push of a button. Comparative measurements, for example between different RF cables and a reference cable (golden device), are therefore easily possible. Typical applications are: Adjusting the electrical cable length or checking phase-controlled antennas, such as those used in air traffic control with the Instrument Landing System (ILS).
