The "LabVIEW Fundamentals 1" seminar teaches you the basics of developing applications in the LabVIEW programming environment. You'll learn about the LabVIEW user interface, dataflow programming, and common LabVIEW development techniques. In this course, you will learn how to develop applications for data acquisition (DAQ), device control, data logging, and measurement analysis.
Upon completion of the course, you will be able to use various editing and debugging techniques and create applications using the state machine design pattern to acquire, process, display, and store measurement data from DAQ or GPIB devices or devices with serial ports. You will also learn how to create and save VIs for use as SubVIs.
Overview of Topics:
- Interactive acquisition and analysis of data from NI hardware (NI DAQ devices) and third-party devices (GPIB devices).
- Creating and programming a LabVIEW application for data acquisition, analysis, and visualization
- Creating user interfaces with charts, graphs, and buttons
- Use of programming structures, data types, and analysis and signal processing algorithms in LabVIEW
- Debugging and error handling in applications
- Working with single- or multi-channel data sets
- Logging data to a file
