In the course “Data Acquisition with NI-DAQmx and LabVIEW,” you will learn the basics of data acquisition using sensors, NI data acquisition hardware, and LabVIEW. The first part of the course covers the basics of hardware selection, including resolution and sampling rate, as well as the basics of sensor connectivity, including grounding and connection configurations. The second part of the course explains how to use the NI-DAQmx driver to measure, generate, and synchronize data acquisition tasks. You will learn how to program finite and continuous acquisitions, as well as recommended methods for hardware/software timing, triggering, and logging. This course provides hands-on skills in configuring and programming NI data acquisition hardware using NI DAQmx and LabVIEW.
Target Audience:
- LabVIEW users who want to create code that is understandable, scalable, maintainable, and reusable
- LabVIEW users who want to develop code that is easy to debug
- LabVIEW users who have experience with object-oriented programming in other languages and want to learn how to implement object-oriented designs in LabVIEW
