The PXIe-8398 can be used to control a PXI Express chassis from an external host; B. a desktop PC, a controller for rack mounting or a separate master chassis. With the help of a 3rd generation PCI-Express x16 connection, the PXIe-8398 enables data transfer of up to 16 GB / s between the chassis and the host by means of a connection via copper cable.
