781753-01 | NI PXI-8232, GIGE and GPIB controllers for Windows and LabVIEW RT

The PXI ‑ 8232 module combines a powerful GPIB controller with a Gigabit Ethernet connection and thus only requires one slot. With this module, measuring devices that are not PXI-based can be integrated into a PXI system. The PXI ‑ 8232 is based on the Gigabit Ethernet controller Intel 82540EM. The transmission rate of Gigabit Ethernet with 1000 Mbit / s means a significant increase in performance compared to the transmission rate of Fast Ethernet while at the same time being fully compatible with the 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet networks. The Ethernet port of the PXI ‑ 8232 can serve as an EtherCAT master that is programmed in LabVIEW with the NI ‑ Industrial Communications for EtherCAT software. The module includes a license for the NI ‑ 488.2 driver software, which ensures maximum reliability when connecting to third-party measurement devices with GPIB.
