779892-02 | NI 9871, serial RS422 / RS485 module with 4 connections (module only)

The NI-9871 module can be used to add RS-485 and RS-422 serial ports to CompactRIO systems. The serial ports can be accessed directly from the FPGA, which provides flexibility when communicating with serial devices. The module has individual buffers on each connector that save space on the FPGA and allow for easier programming. The NI ‑9870 supports default start bit, stop bit, and handshaking settings. It uses an external power source for maximum compatibility and reliability.
