The PCI-6516 module is an industrial-grade digital output interface with a channel bank. The device is particularly suitable for industrial control, regulation and production testing applications. The PCI-6516 module is an industrial digital I/O interface with all channels on an isolated bench. Each input bank can be configured as current supplying as well as current sinking. Using programmable switch-on states, users can configure digital I/O states in software to ensure safe operation when industrial actuators are connected. Should a computer or application error occur, the PCI-6516's digital I/O watchdogs transition to a configurable secured output state to detect malfunctions and enable safe system recovery.
