The MAVOBASE LUX from Gossen Photo is a precise illuminance meter for reliably measuring daylight and all artificial light sources, including LEDs. Thanks to its wide measurement range of 0.1 to 199,900 lx or 0.01 to 19,990 fc, the device is suitable for both low illuminance levels and very bright daylight and intense spotlight illumination. Measurements are performed in accordance with Class C of DIN 5032-7 and offer an accuracy of ±3% of the reading ±1 digit.
The spectral sensitivity of the measuring probe is adapted to the luminance sensitivity of the human eye, V(λ). A cosine correction also accounts for the angle of incidence of the light. For more demanding measurement tasks, PEAK and REL functions are available: The PEAK function displays MIN, MAX, and AVG values during a measurement. The REL function allows you to lock an offset value so that, for example, the proportion of artificial light can be specifically measured when evaluating workplace lighting.
This makes the MAVOBASE LUX particularly suitable for professional light measurements, the inspection of lighting systems and workplace lighting, as well as for applications where daylight and artificial light must be reliably recorded or distinguished from one another. For measurement equipment monitoring in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, a factory or DAkkS calibration certificate can optionally be issued by the GOSSEN Lighting Laboratory.
