The Fluke Networks CertiFiber Max series is an Optical Loss Test Set (OLTS) for the rapid acceptance and documentation of modern multi-fiber links. It measures attenuation (loss), length and polarity for multi-fiber links with up to 24 fibers in a very short time and is designed for high measurement reliability in practice. As part of the modular Versiv / LinkWare ecosystem, the series can be seamlessly integrated into project workflows: Project specifications are neatly managed via ProjX, results are saved in a structured manner and used via LinkWare PC and optionally LinkWare Live for reporting, remote setup and project transparency. Maximum flexibility is ensured by field-changeable UniPort adapters, which enable direct connections to MPO and MMC (pinned and unpinned) - without cumbersome breakout solutions.
The series is ideal for the certification and commissioning of multi-fiber backbones and high-density cabling - especially in data centers, campus and building cabling and for migrations to higher bandwidths. Typical applications include acceptance measurements in accordance with defined limit values (PASS/FAIL), rapid fault localization in the event of conspicuous links and documentation-proof handover to clients. For troubleshooting, the series also supports integrated multi-fibre VFL (fault localization) and a duplex powermeter port (e.g. for measurements on cassettes or duplex fibres). As an option, end face inspection can also be integrated into the test report in order to quickly detect and verify contamination as a common cause of faults.
The CFM-100SI-NW presented here is the single-mode OLTS test set from the CertiFiber Max series with two Versiv mainframes (main & remote), an integrated inspection solution and a version without integrated Wi-Fi. It combines multi-fiber certification with the option of inspecting and documenting fiber end faces directly before measurement, enabling contamination or damage to be detected at an early stage and measurement errors to be avoided. This variant is particularly suitable for safety-critical environments in which wireless communication interfaces are not permitted.
In the standard version, Wi-Fi enables wireless connection to LinkWare Live for uploading measurement results, project synchronization and remote setup. With the CFM-100SI-NW, data is transferred via cable instead, for example via USB in conjunction with LinkWare PC. Compared to the CFM-100SI, this NW variant offers identical measurement and inspection functions, but deliberately dispenses with the wireless communication interface.
