Fast and reliable temperature measurement is a key component of maintenance, servicing and quality control. Infrared thermometers enable non-contact measurements on hot, moving or hard-to-reach objects. Supplemented by contact sensors, even very high temperatures or pinpoint measurements can be reliably recorded. This allows overheating to be detected at an early stage, processes to be monitored and safety risks to be reduced.

Typical applications can be found in industry, trade, building technology, electrical systems, motors, machines, heating and cooling processes as well as in research and development. The combination of IR measurement, ambient temperature and thermocouple significantly extends the range of applications.

The Extech IR267 is a compact and versatile infrared thermometer with an integrated laser pointer for precise target detection. It measures temperatures up to 600 °C without contact and also offers a type K thermocouple input for high-temperature measurements up to 1000 °C. An integrated sensor records the ambient temperature in parallel so that several temperature values can be displayed simultaneously.

The adjustable emissivity function ensures high measurement accuracy on different surfaces. Programmable high/low alarms provide visual and audible alerts when limit values are exceeded. Functions such as MAX, MIN, AVG and difference display support the quick analysis of temperature curves. Thanks to its bright display with backlight, automatic data hold function and compact design, the IR267 is ideal for mobile use.
