The 8610 is a powerful model of the 8600/B series from B&K Precision and is aimed at demanding test environments with high current requirements. With up to 120 A current consumption and 750 W power, this model is ideal for testing powerful DC power supplies, chargers, battery packs or DC-DC converters.
The electronic load offers a wide range of operating modes including battery test and CR LED function. It can be seamlessly integrated into automated test systems thanks to the integrated USB and RS232 connection as well as optional GPIB (only for model without "B"). The compact 3U design with actively controlled fan allows reliable continuous operation even under high loads.
The 8610 is the first model in the series with significantly increased performance and is ideal for higher load currents up to 120 A. In contrast to the compact 8600-8602 models (max. 60 A), the 8610 offers a significant leap in performance, but still remains in the manageable 3U class. Extended models are available for even higher currents (e.g. 240 A for model 8614 or 480 A for 8620) or higher voltages (500 V for 8612). The 8610 is therefore ideal for power-intensive applications with moderate voltages.
